Do you think Northumbria Police’s domestic abuse posters are sexist? Then VOTE!!!

Yesterday we posted a piece on Vera Baird’s anti-male domestic abuse posters, published by Northumbria Police on Xmas Day and the following days. On the local paper’s article on the matter, there’s a poll where you can vote by simply clicking ‘Yes’ or ‘No’. We urge you to vote now, if you haven’t already.

At one point the split was about 84% Yes / 16% No, but our enemies have started voting in greater numbers, and the figures are now 78% / 22%.

Our enemies are saying that posters which portray all domestic abuse victims as women, and all perpetrators as men, aren’t sexist. Proof – as if it were needed! – that feminists are driven by misandry.

Northumbria police accused of sexism in domestic abuse poster campaign

Our thanks to HEqual for pointing us to this. At the end of the article there’s a poll with this question:

Do you think Northumbria Police’s domestic abuse posters are sexist?

All you have to do is click on ‘Yes’ or ‘No’. Simple as that. No need to register, or input any details. Please join me in making the obvious choice, and sending a stark message to Vera Baird QC, Northumbria Police, and others:

Your relentless anti-male propaganda has to stop. NOW.

Ely Wananda debunks a ridiculous article about MRAs in GQ magazine

Our thanks to Rod for pointing us to this (video, 31:25).

Ely Wananda is a highly articulate British commentator on gender issues, despite not self-identifying as an MRA. There are a number of things we’d argue with in his video, but overall it’s very sound. It mainly consists of a critique of a ridiculous article by Rupert Myers, ‘Men’s Rights Activists are cave dwelling idiots’, published a few days ago by GQ.

Ely’s website is aMensView. I’ve subscribed both to his website and his YouTube channel, and I look forward to his future pieces.

Rupert Myers is a left-leaning barrister, his Guardian page is here.

A warm welcome to Jasmin Newman, an Australian Honey Badger

I was recently alerted to the existence of Jasmin Newman, an Australian Honey Badger, by a supporter who paid her pre-registration fee for ICMI16. She runs the website Relating to Men. Her interesting pieces there include a recent post, The feminist elephant in the room.

From her home page:

We all have men we care about. Fathers, sons, brothers, uncles ~ no man alive today is immune from finding themselves feeling unheard and unseen in a world where everything is viewed through the feminine prism. Men deserve to be respected without having to justify their masculinity. And they deserve to be able to speak up about the issues they face, without being shouted down as irrelevant.

Relating To Men supports men who are struggling to come to terms with the life issues they are confronted with. Often these are those who have been victims of domestic violence & abuse; fathers in family court or dealing with high conflict separations; parental alienation or those navigating shared parenting arrangements…

Jasmin Newman is the creator of Relating To Men. She is a trained coach, accomplished speaker and blogger and a woman who wants to see a fairer more equitable world.  She is a dedicated advocate for the rights of men and fathers and is deeply concerned for the plight of boys and young men as they are being shamed around their masculinity in almost every aspect of their lives.  She uses her voice through videos and blogs and shares content around the globe supporting the greater cause.

Jasmin is an outspoken and independent woman, who is also a non feminist…

In July, 2016 the International Conference on Mens Issues is being held in London, UK. If you would like to support Jasmin’s current fundraising campaign to attend this event and to learn and gain knowledge from her peers, please follow this link to offer a donation.

We invite you to make what donation you can, to ensure Jasmin is able to attend ICMI16. Thank you.

Peter Hitchens: Blair’s secret victory? He’s taken control of the Tory party.

Our thanks to Alan for pointing us to Peter Hitchens’s insightful piece in the latest Mail on Sunday column, on Tony Blair, David Cameron, and their chums – here. Under Dave’s leadership for the past decade, the Conservative party has been a shadow of its former self, and the most perceptive chronicler of the disaster has long been Peter Hitchens.

I’m currently enjoying a little light holiday reading, the second volume (of a planned three volumes) of Charles Moore’s outstanding authorised biography of Margaret Thatcher, Everything She Wants (800+ pages, in common with the first volume). Of course Mrs T had flaws, and made mistakes, but she had a moral compass that is entirely absent in Dave. One of my favourite Hitchens books is The Cameron Delusion (2010).

Whiny Feminists of the Month: Martina Batovic, Valeria Napoleone

Three days ago we published a post linking to a Telegraph article containing quotes from women whining about the prices fetched at auction for works by top female artists being so much lower than the prices fetched for works by top male artists.

A number of people proposed the women as contenders for a Whiny Feminist of the Month award, and two stood out from the rest, Martina Batovic and Valeria Napoleone. Their certificate is here:

Controlling partners face up to FIVE YEARS in jail: New law to criminalise psychological bullying within relationships

Our thanks to Mike for this. It’s the change in the law that Vera Baird QC is so delighted with, judging by her anti-male posters. From the article:

People who psychologically bully their partners now face a jail sentence of up to five years, thanks to a change in the Serious Crime Bill. The new law has made it a crime to act abusively, be controlling or coercive of your partner.

This includes stopping your partner accessing bank accounts…

The change in the law followed on from the Home Office’s cynical ‘consultation exercise’, which didn’t solicit input from academics with knowledge about domestic abuse. The entire exercise was a feminist-run sham. What else could we expect of a department led by Theresa May MP, who infamously posed for the Fawcett Society wearing their ‘This is what a feminist looks like’ T-shirt? One of the images is here.

We publicly challenged Theresa May over the consultation exercise, and submitted a 154-page report, ‘Intimate Partner Violence: The Gender Bias Against Men in England and Wales’, and had nothing more than an acknowledgement of receipt of the documents. Both are accessible here.
