Given I’m a tech “numpty” even I have seen lots of “Amelia”. A star of many a video taken from a Prevent and local Gov. funded game for teenagers. The game is played in this video by Intel Woman https://youtu.be/yXCnxcvxTNY?si=_hGi1DWwfxIJpgVn
The first point is how young people have completely subverted this supposedly racist baddy character in the Game by making her a hero.
The second is that the lame “game” is typical of other such productions to stop boys being “toxic” or abusive to girls in teenage relationships. The same preachy stuff which makes it obvious what should be chosen in multiple choice and what “adults” want to hear.
The third is that just as perfectly ordinary sentiments and even the act of researching facts become signs of “radicalisation” the very same is and will be used to demonstrate “misogyny”, boys will find themselves referred for the most ordinary of opinions or activities.
My final thought however is hopeful, because its clear by the massive fame of Amelia through all her myriad of subversive appearances the gamers and young people in general resist such deranged attempts to have them declared a danger. And a good measure of this is indeed the hysteria that has greeted this hilarious turn of events.
