She’s right.
My brother works for Peterborough Diocese ( as a management accountant) and he says the female clergy are bone idle. Parishes that have previously met their financial quota with no difficulty cease to do so virtually immediately a female incumbent is appointed. The poor people skills exhibited by so many women alienate the volunteers, usually older ladies, upon whom a parish, particularly a rural one, depends.
You hear the same story in every parish once a female is appointed – the congregation is decimated within weeks – and of course if a parish insists on a male priest they have to go through quite a lot of bureaucracy and the waiting time for a new male priest can be measured in years.
While a part time female can be produced very quickly.
