  1. Though there may be some influence . To be fair to the PRT it has long campaigned for fewer men prisoners , small local prisons, rehab and tackling homelessness. I think the sex of the staff may be a small factor but I do find the trust consistent in seeing less imprisonment for men as well as women. Frankly the history of the various Prison Reform Charities is one including prominent women showing compassion to male prisoners.
    The real scandals are in the legal profession and our courts.

    • Indeed. It’s my understanding that if a women in the UK kills her partner in cold blood, she need claim only that she was in fear of him – no evidence need be presented – and the charge will be reduced from murder to manslaughter. This stuff goes back a long way. Robert St Estephe has put plenty of pieces on AVfM, mainly from American papers, showing 100+ years ago even all-male juries wouldn’t convict women of murder. One law for men, another for women.
