About Mike Buchanan

I'm a men's human rights advocate, writer, and publisher. My primary focus is leading the political party I launched in 2013, Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them). I still work actively on two campaigns I launched in early 2012, Campaign for Merit in Business and the Anti-Feminism League. In 2014 I launched The Alternative Sexism Project, aiming to raise public understanding that the sexism faced by men and boys has far more grievous consequences than the sexism faced by women and girls.

  • Though there may be some influence . To be fair to the PRT it has long campaigned for fewer men prisoners , small local prisons, rehab and tackling homelessness. I think the sex of the staff may be a small factor but I do find the trust consistent in seeing less imprisonment for men as well as women. Frankly the history of the various Prison Reform Charities is one including prominent women showing compassion to male prisoners.
The real scandals are in the legal profession and our courts.

  • We should not believe that English courts are immune to this bigotry. English law is already disfigured by some similar logic.

    • Indeed. It’s my understanding that if a women in the UK kills her partner in cold blood, she need claim only that she was in fear of him – no evidence need be presented – and the charge will be reduced from murder to manslaughter. This stuff goes back a long way. Robert St Estephe has put plenty of pieces on AVfM, mainly from American papers, showing 100+ years ago even all-male juries wouldn’t convict women of murder. One law for men, another for women.
