A short video from a gentleman on the other side of the pond:
Month: July 2013
Shame on me, you say? No.
Perhaps the most powerful weapon in the feminist’s armoury is shame. Men should be ashamed of this, that, and the other. The reality is that if men were to feel a collective emotion for what men have achieved since the dawn of humankind, that emotion should surely be pride, not shame.
Along with other men’s human rights activists, I long ago rejected the notion that I should feel shame for being a man. Women don’t accept collective responsibility for the actions or inactions of a small number of evil women, and quite rightly too. Why, then, should men accept collective responsibility for the actions or inactions of a small number of evil men? They shouldn’t.
I strongly recommend a new article on the subject of shame, written by the estimable John Hembling – ‘John the Other’ or ‘JtO’. He’s the Editor-in-Chief at AVfM:
MGTOW: Men Going Their Own Way
An increasing number of men are sick to death of the ever-worsening discriminations faced by men in many areas of life, and the ever-increasing privileges accorded to women. It would be surprising if more men over time didn’t opt for a greater degree of self-determination, and an increasing number are identifying as MGTOWs (Men Going Their Own Way). So I was interested to see ‘A Voice for Men’ today published the first in a series of articles on the MGTOW phenomenon, starting with an article by the veteran men’s human rights advocate and MGTOW, Peter Wright. Enjoy:

British men collectively pay 72% of the income taxes which largely finance the state which assaults them, by its actions and inactions. As more men become MGTOWs they will pay less income tax. At some point politicians will have no choice but to recognise more and more of their paymasters – men – are going on strike.
Policewoman sets dog on non-violent man, beats him to the ground
Two months ago we published a post on a bibliography of 286 investigations on Intimate Partner Violence (‘IPV’). All the resulting reports and studies showed that women are as at least as physically aggressive as men with respect to IPV:
Woman’s Hour recently had a feature on male victims of domestic violence (‘DV’). The two female commentators repeatedly returned the narrative back to female victims of DV, and even dishonoured male victims of DV by suggesting many of them were perpetrators. There was, of course, no recognition that female perpetrators ever presented themselves as victims. The audio file is here:

Decade after decade, the ‘men are violent, women are victims’ narrative has been peddled by the media, academia etc., in clear contravention of the evidence base. Support for victims – whether from the state, or charities – is almost exclusively directed to female victims.
It’s well recognised that policemen sometimes use excessive force against non-violent people. Well, let me correct that. Against non-violent men. So what happens when women are given the power to assault non-violent men? As we might expect, they use it. I’m indebted to James Williams of ‘Men’s Matters’ Radio for pointing me to a video from that feminist nirvana, Sweden, where a policewoman set her dog on a non-violent man in central Stockholm, and beat him to the ground. Welcome to this public exhibition of female supremacy, the ultimate goal of feminism:

If a video appeared of a policeman treating a non-violent women in this way, we can be sure it would appear on mainstream news channels across the world within hours. But the Swedish video doesn’t fit the ‘men are violent, women are victims’ narrative, so the mass media haven’t touched the story (the video was posted on YouTube a week ago). I’m pleased, however, to see that AVfM covered it yesterday, and provided some insightful commentary:

John Locke vs Harriet Harman
A short but insightful piece by Brendan O’Neill, editor of the online magazine spiked, prompted by Harriet Harman’s calling for an end to membership organisations being legally permitted to control who joins them. Her latest bout of whining was prompted by the Open golf championship currently being held at Muirfield, which still has a ‘men only’ membership policy.

Our thanks to ‘Mensrights Reddits’ for pointing their Twitter followers – their Twitter account is @mensrightsrdts – to this remarkably honest article by Daily Mail journalist Liz Jones:
An open letter to the Secretary of the Muirfield golf course, host to the 2013 Open
The 2013 Open golf championship is being held at Muirfield, near Edinburgh, which has a men-only membership policy. The usual suspects (Harriet Harman, Maria Miller, Nick Clegg…) are whining about the policy in their customary fashion, and there are even calls for legislation to be introduced to ban such policies. I thought it timely to send an open letter to Alastair Brown, Secretary of the club, encouraging the club to retain its policy:
I would ask you to email Alastair Brown with encouraging messages of your own. His email address is hceg@muirfield.org.uk. Thank you.
Fiona Teasdale and ‘The Shed’
Fiona Teasdale, an admirable young lady who lives in the North East of England, has for some time been busily engaged in trying to establish ‘The Shed’ locally, drawing inspiration from similar initiatives – ‘Men’s Sheds’ – in Australia. Two days ago she was interviewed by the highly-regarded ‘Anti Misandry’ website (link to the interview below). All of us here at J4MB wish her every success with this initiative, and we thank her for her commitment to improving the lives of men. We hope in due course there’ll be many more ‘Sheds’ across the UK. Enjoy:
