Beyond insanity. How truly horrifying and sad that the British government is doing everything possible to destroy their own country and alienate its native citizens. The do-nothing royals are beyond worthless.

Ive watched the black belt barrister( youtube) take on this which is very good and does explain why waitrose and other companies do this. not defending waitrose though as there was no adverse outcome in terms of injuries etc, so waitrose didnt need to respond in what I would say an aggressive manner.
look to your govt as to why this is not resolved( it the same in the USA).
the sentencing rules( thank you activist judges) that wont imprison them for anything less than a year so there is no deterrent, the labour govt and their indecisiveness( thank you labnour for letting out criminal early only to reoffend), tories for not dealing with the criminal population and prison capacity( not deporting criminals or leaving the echr), tories and labour for not dealing with the immigration issue( where do you think most of the perpetrators come from), and finally the police who are spineless( beholden to “citizen khan” and his deliberate blindness to his failures) and complain about not enough resources( but enough to police online mean words and six police officers to arrest one person at an airport)…
the people need to be voting in a new political govt that will have a lot of cleaning up to do, otherwise expect the UK to become a lawless state, followed by a civil war( personally I think we were already in a civil war for several years when the govt targeted men/fathers)

Much less dramatic but a symptom of decline Civil servants win battle to work from home “flexible working”, “caring responsibilities” “mental health”. The ONS had been for years obsessed with accuracy but post pandemic it made a series of gaffes. Basically its usual checks hadn’t worked. And so it wanted its staff “in” (but actually only 2 days a week). A decade ago the Swedes were at least honest in that their “solution” to the “pay gap” and men’s focus on work was to get men to work less (long parental leave “compulsory”). Fortunately for their economy their productive sector (male “dominated” ) carried on being busy. Meanwhile our public sector in the UK becomes more and more dysfunctional as it is run for the benefit of its largely female workforce. The cancer spreads as male workers realise that their the ones still working when the office is empty and not wanting to be “mugs” they too take advantage. “Work /life balance” “flexible working” never includes more work. So though it may not be so bad if the ONS continues to embarrass itself with duff stats it is just one casualty of feminism. As are so many services and even productive industries.
