The 2013 Open golf championship is being held at Muirfield, near Edinburgh, which has a men-only membership policy. The usual suspects (Harriet Harman, Maria Miller, Nick Clegg…) are whining about the policy in their customary fashion, and there are even calls for legislation to be introduced to ban such policies. I thought it timely to send an open letter to Alastair Brown, Secretary of the club, encouraging the club to retain its policy:
I would ask you to email Alastair Brown with encouraging messages of your own. His email address is hceg@muirfield.org.uk. Thank you.
Sent message – see below. I truly hope he is inundated with positive feedback. I believe he will be.
Dear Mr Brown,
I both hope and expect you will be receiving many such emails as this. A message of support for both yourself and the men-only membership policy of your golf club. The hypocrisy and the tyranny of the modern Western women’s movement is something many people are presently blind to. But I have no doubt that the distortions of reality and the blatant lies of radical feminism will eventually be seen to have been the greatest intellectual and moral crime of the latter part of the 20th century. Meanwhile, here at the beginning of the 21st century, we still live under the aegis of that crime and to openly resist it is an act of great moral courage.
I hope the 2013 British Open goes well and is a success for all at Muirfield. The 2014 Open will take place just five miles away from where I live and I look forward to it very much.
Kindest Regards,
Peter Charnley ( Wirral, England )
Mike, I’ve sent a message to Mr. Brown, saying that I am aware he is under pressure to open his club to female membership:
“I am writing to encourage you, for the sake of ‘equality’, to NOT do this!
There is an abundant number of single-sex organizations, facilities and political agendas already in existence. For women, that is. At worse, perhaps you might negotiate — all of the women-only entities become open to men in exchange for your club allowing women. 😉 The word ‘equality’ has become the politically correct cloaking device for arrangements which are, at heart, simply misandry, the acceptable bigotry of our time.
Please sir, stay men-only, for the sake of “equality”.
