A piece in the Guardian. Of course the paper is presenting challenges of Professor Jason Arday as racist. An extract:

“Claudine Gay, the first black woman to become president of Harvard, was only in the post for seven months before she was forced out over plagiarism allegations.” 

No, this wasn’t about “allegations”, she was forced out because she was demonstrably a plagiarist. The Guardian is saying black people should be above criticism, what could be more racist?

A piece in yesterday’s Telegraph (£), Cambridge professor made impossible claim he was on Seven Up. An extract:

“Prof Jason Arday said he had appeared in the television series, which follows the lives of a group of people for decades from the age of seven. The inaugural episode was broadcast in 1964. He was not born until 1985.

Prof Arday is at the centre of a row about academic plagiarism after The Telegraph revealed that he has been accused of copying parts of his PhD thesis from an earlier work by another student.

He has admitted a series of errors in his work but said the “positioning of me as this kind of liar and fantasist is totally unacceptable”.”

Interesting. An extract from the BBC piece:

“Penny Dyer, director of the model village, said the character was intended as a “light-hearted joke” but had been removed following the negative feedback.

“It’s also fair to say that streaking was very much a feature of a different era,” she added. [J4MB: So is almost everything at Godshill Model Village.]

“It is far less common and is no longer something that younger visitors recognise, so the model has lost much of its original relevance.

“As a business we listen to customer feedback and, after considering the comments, we decided to remove her.”

Dyer said she had also received messages from people supporting the reinstatement of the streaker – but that her aim was to ensure all visitors felt comfortable and enjoyed their visit.”

The aim “to ensure all visitors feel comfortable” is an aim to allow hatchet-faced feminists to dictate what all visitors see.

It isn’t misogyny to hate hatchet-faced feminists, it’s a civic duty. Let’s hear it for Erika Roe, and her streak at Twickenham Stadium in 1982.
