Justice for Men & Boys 
For years now I’ve wondered why we are surprised that the French don’t give good value for the 100s of millions of pounds the UK Gov. has paid. First off for a decade their local politicians on the coast have pointed to the contrast between what happens there and here. There the camps are regularly broken up by police and migrants rely on charitable giving as non citizens cannot get benefits. Whereas here we house people in Hotels and give them a taxpayer funded allowance as well as free meals, healthcare, transport etc. As the french point out its not a mystery as to why they prefer the UK to France. So there is a “pull”. Meanwhile of course why would the French be keen to keep people who cause them trouble, don’t want to be in France or be French Citizens and who will keep trying to leave French shores? The problem of a porous border and generous incentives are ours to address rather than hoping the French will do it for us.
It is a story old as time that young men strike out into the world to find the “fortune” and status that makes them an attractive mate. One cannot blame them for thinking the UK is a generous land of opportunity, particularly as we are so generous in comparison with most countries.
