Trump DEI crackdown has hit the boardroom. Now there are fewer women.

Good news. Our allied website Campaign for Merit in Business has been campaigning against increasing gender diversity in boardrooms since 2012, due to the well-established causal link with corporate financial decline, which I presented to House of Commons and House of Lords inquiries in 2012. My appearance at the House of Commons inquiry (with Steve Moxon and Dr Catherine Hakim) is here (video, 56:49).

  1. Clearly in the US they’ve started to realise that their continued prosperity relies on getting the best people. Meanwhile here in the UK the government is “commited” to pressuring the independent sector to appoint people based on their genitalia or skin colour. The way in which all public services including those dealing with life or death current do use genitalia and skin colour as their key criteria. The resultant mediocrity of most of our public services will be matched by uncompetitive industries. And our slide as a nation will continue.
