Interesting (Telegraph, £). Laure Ferrari’s Wiki page is here. The start of the Telegraph piece:
Nigel Farage’s girlfriend, Laure Ferrari, has said she would not meddle in public affairs if her long-time partner becomes prime minister.
Ms Ferrari, a French politician, added that Carrie Johnson wielded too much influence in No 10 during Boris Johnson’s premiership.
“She intervened far too much in the country’s affairs,” Ms Ferrari told Le Monde, referring to Mr Johnson’s wife. “If people elect Nigel Farage, they are not electing Laure Ferrari.”

That’s quite a low bar to be fair! Here’s Carrie Johnson interfering in the Robert Brown parole decision, a case she had absolutely nothing to do with whatsoever, but became interested in after she attended a reception at Buckingham Palace organised by Queen Camilla. In this video clip, Carrie Johnson appears at a later rally to keep Robert Brown behind bars.: https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x8ir817
And here’s some more of her speech accompanied by speeches at the same rally by Priti Patel and Jess Phillips: https://www.gettyimages.co.uk/detail/video/wife-of-former-prime-minister-boris-johnson-carrie-news-footage/1470576392
Jess Phillips’ speech in particular is very interesting given her stance on the Sally Challen case. Brendan O’Neill, in this article from Spiked, claims: “Labour MP Jess Phillips said she cried with joy when she heard the news a few months ago that Challen’s murder conviction had been quashed.” https://www.spiked-online.com/2019/06/08/sally-challen-is-no-hero/
In sharp contrast referring to Robert Brown (in the 2nd video linked above) Phillips’ states: “I obviously support everything that the family are asking for, it is unimaginable to anyone if we were to walk outside now and say this man was not convicted of murder people would assume you were lying to them and yet I have seen case after case after case where manslaughter is handed out to somebody on the basis of an obviously and clearly premeditated crime because somebody snapped. There is no heat of the moment killing in domestic killing, it does not exist, it is a fallacy created as a defence. I lose my temper all the time, as some of the people behind me are well aware of, I don’t bludgeon someone 14 times, stab someone 17 times in the heat of the moment.”
Ultimately, Robert Brown remains in prison while Sally Challen walks free.
