Nigel Farage’s girlfriend, Laure Ferrari, has said she would not meddle in public affairs if her long-time partner becomes prime minister.

Ms Ferrari, a French politician, added that Carrie Johnson wielded too much influence in No 10 during Boris Johnson’s premiership.

“She intervened far too much in the country’s affairs,” Ms Ferrari told Le Monde, referring to Mr Johnson’s wife. “If people elect Nigel Farage, they are not electing Laure Ferrari.”
