  1. Lets be honest the feminist ideology is to end Fatherhood as a valued social “construct” and relegate it to a momentary biological act with no consequences other than to pay up. Inevitably they can’t even consider paternity leave as being anything other than convenient for the mother. After all why encourage connection and emotional attachment of fathers to their children if when the mother chooses to ditch him he will be routinely excluded from their lives! Here in the UK “the family” is essentially defined as a mother and her children, from the 1970s onward all policy has embedded this. If you believe fathers are simply peripheral at best and a danger of abuse, thinking about them in a positive way is nigh on impossible.

    Personally I’d support “parental leave” that either the mother or father could use, leaving it up to parents to choose. Of course choice couldn’t be allowed because they fear too many women will choose to “stay at home”.
