  1. Aristotle and then the Jesuits said that by 7 they could form the “man” from the boy. Until 11/12 all children are pretty much in the hands of women (indeed feminists constantly complain about this, even the fact that the vast majority those in paid child care and education are women). From mothers to school teachers and practically any activity from shops to hospital visits children, male and female, are in a feminised world. Yet this demonstrable fact (as I say frequently complained about) is never addressed. The obvious question, is if it is the case that for at least since the industrial revolution the socialisation of boys has been women’s business how can it possibly be that the resultant adult males are so “misogynist”. Surely in fact they reflect to a large degree their early socialisation, and that almost exclusively female dominated? In many respect this feminisation has increased since the 1970s in later age ranges with ballooning female led single parent “families”, dominance in secondary education and so on. “The patriarchy” must then be a product of female socialisation of males in fact! From a practical point of view the cabal of patriarchs (if they existed) have had very little opportunity to actually influence boys in their development. The truth is it is women (family and paid) who have wanted stoical, chivalrous, brave, self sacrificing, emotionally continent, dependable, ambitious, providers all along. Precisely the “good men” they seem to thing have “gone”.
