Prison officer Tracy Boateng, 26, caught on bodycam filmed kissing and hugging inmate, avoids jail (what are the chances?)

Our thanks to Jeff for this. The start of the piece:

“A senior prison officer has avoided jail after having a fling with an inmate that he thought would be his ‘fairytale ending’. Tracy Boateng, 26, had a relationship with Vincent Ojo, 34, at HMP Pentonville, north London, between February 25 and April 19 last year. She admitted misconduct in a public office in February. Body-worn camera footage captured interactions between her and Ojo, the court heard.

Boateng, of Dagenham, was sentenced at Snaresbrook Crown Court to 12 months imprisonment suspended for 24 months. She will avoid spending time behind bars because of the impact it would have on her three-month-old daughter, the judge said.”

Female prison officers have no place in men’s prisons. They’re clearly unable to carry out their duties properly.

  1. ” Senior Prison Officer” Gives pause for thought given she’s 26! Sounds like a dollop of DEI accelerated promotion, of someone entirely unsuitable. The comment “‘This guy really believes you are his fairytale ending,’” by her colleague also suggests she was using him. Its an interesting thing it was included because usually these all too frequent tales of women warders forming such “relationships” are reported as if the woman has been taken in by the conniving man.
