  1. This reminded me of the exellent speech by Rowan Atkinson some years ago, promoting free speech. He made the point that for people like him, with some public clout, it was less likely to present a problem. But the true victims of such “clampdowns” are ordinary folk with neither the resources or public profile to resist petty officials and police action. So while Andrew Tate is in fact far away from this jurisdiction the actual victims will be teenage boys reported by their teachers to “Prevent” and boys and men who will have a “police record” in the form of a “non crime hate incident” that will show on any “Police Check” required for many jobs. Or even one of the proliferating “orders” developed out of the ASBO toolkit where an accusation or suspicion is enough to get a curfew or restriction on movements and where imprisonment can follow on the breaking of the orders terms, rather than an actual criminal act. All tools of intimidation. Wise advice to record interactions with officials of the state.
