I am so astounded by this. When I was younger, I took it for granted that it was a moral good to allow women to choose to abort – but even fifteen or twenty years ago I can’t imagine that the kind of grotesque celebratory, this shouldn’t just be technically accessible, but offered like it’s no more than getting your nails done, or some face paint at a carnival, would be normalised. Optically, it looks so much to me like: say you hate your members, without saying you hate your members. I think there have been many suggestions to this end from the DNC but this is so on the nose, I’d find it an unbelievable and absurd device if I found it in a work of fiction.
