Interesting. An extract from the BBC piece:
Reform UK is doing well in the areas where it has fielded candidates – and nearly beat the Tories into second place in Blackpool South. [J4MB: Reform UK got 117 votes fewer than the Tories.] Reform leader Richard Tice said the results showed his party “is rapidly becoming the real opposition to Labour”.

And yet Reform won only 2 council seats

Thanks Nigel. Not a problem, they’re primarily taking Tory votes and I’m sure the Tories lost many seats as a result. I look forward to the same happening in the coming general election.

Very worrying is that a number of Labour “Wimmin” have become Police and Crime Commissioners. Few of the public really know anything about these posts but they set the policy and targets for their Police Forces. So we can expect chunks of their considerable budgets going into the DV industry, insistence on the Police having VAWG units and targets to arrest, and more use of the “go” orders. And no doubt recording of “hate incidents” when builders whistle etc. These posts rarely attract more than a 15% “turnout” so people get elected to a powerful role with very small mandates indeed.
To add to the gloom a WEP woman got elected to a council.
