  1. As DNA tests are simple and widely available there seems no reason at all not to have them used to confirm paternity. This has the added bonus of making sure that the correct parents medical histories are available to assist in diagnosis of future illness in the child. People messing about and lying about paternity pose a risk greater than just “who pays”.
