Being stalked by a woman wasn’t flattering or funny… it was a nightmare: When Bob Coughtrey, 59, told friends he was being harassed by Donna Hartley, 28, they told him to take it as a compliment – while police finally only acted when she turned up at his flat threatening to kill herself

Our thanks to Sean for this.

Buchanan’s Seventh Law, exchanges with feminist commenters on Julie Bindel’s recent article

I’ve been busy replying to insane feminists (I repeat myself) in the comments stream of Julie Bindel’s latest Substack article, Sex Education, or sexist indoctrination? Exchanges with feminists always bring to mind Buchanan’s Seventh Law:
When a woman is losing an argument to a man, she’ll call him a misogynist
Today a particularly insane one – Miiju86 – started commenting. She’s SO loopy that every time she posts comments, there’s a gift for me. Her first comments directed to me started with this:
How is it a lie when males are responsible for around 90% of all violent crimes in general as well as for 99%(!) of all sexual crimes in particular? I can assure you there are no “feminist lies”, quite the contrary. I know of no other social & civil rights movement where so much basic discourse happens, as well as the heavy reliance on real, scientific data. You seem to be – sadly – projecting hard here and arguing from a pure emotional point of view.
We’ve had a few exchanges, one of her sentences started with this gem:
I recommend the research of Caroline Criado Perez…
I had great pleasure pointing out that CCP won three of our Lying Feminist of the Month awards, and that she’d admitted to Philip Schofield on This Morning in 2015 that she’s lied – here (video, section starting at 2:53).

Eleanor Williams, 22, jailed fantasist who attacked herself with a hammer to back up her lies that she had been raped and trafficked by Asian grooming gang, received £55,000 of taxpayer cash

Our thanks to Tina for this. An extract:
Business owner Mohammed Ramzan, who Williams claimed had groomed her from the age of 12, was arrested over her lies and said he and his family received more than 500 death threats.

Hearing how much Williams received in legal aid, he told MailOnline: ‘It’s ridiculous. It’s shocking. It’s devastating because there are actual victims that need that money, and yet that money is being allowed to her for fabricating a story.

‘This is outrageous – they have taken taxpayers’ money. It’s ludicrous.

‘100 per cent I think there should be some sort of order put in place that when she gets out that money has to be paid back.

‘What she has done to the real victims – if you look at the opinion of the sisterhood on this matter it’s absolutely crazy.’

Defendants must pass a strict means test before they are granted legal aid and the Ministry of Justice seek repayment of the fees if they are found guilty and can afford to.

I think we can safely assume Eleanor Williams will never be required to repay so much as a penny of the £55,000.

WikiWomenCamp 2023 – corruption of Wikipedia by feminists

Wikipedia is hosting an event in New Delhi later this year, and funding the expenses of 60 women to attend. Details here. Extracts from that page:
WikiWomenCamp 2023 will be bringing together women from different countries of the Wikimedia movement, leaders of their respective communities and with strong experience and proven engagement with the gendergap topic. (#wikiwomencamp)
The first paragraph from the last hyperlink, emphases are Wikipedia’s:
Two kinds of gender gap exist within, and do harm to, the Wikimedia world: (a) a content gender gap (meaning that more men than women are covered in the mainspace content of our wikis), and (b) a participation gender gap, meaning that more men participate in the peer production communities of Wikimedia.
The first paragraph in a section (“Goals of the Camp”) from the first hyperlink:
We intend to provide an enriching experience and quality information, ideas and collaboration for participants to explore in the future. We are committed to bringing women from diverse backgrounds to join the three day program encompassing keynotes, presentations, workshops and discussions, focused on the roles and future of women in the movement along with a primary focus to bridge the gender gap. As gender gap is one of the identified priorities, this platform will help us plan the necessary actions and support required to expand the ongoing initiatives.
The bottom line? Wikipedia is openly financially supporting feminists to corrupt its content.

How one brave man (Professor Derek Bryce-Smith) took on the world, and won

A wonderful piece by Liz Hodgkinson for TCW. Sadly, Professor Derek Bryce-Smith died in 2011. I’ve left the following comments on the article (they’re waiting to be approved, possibly because of the hyperlink):
Liz, thanks for this. I well recall DBS (as he was known to students) from when I took my chemistry degree (1976-9). I did some research for him during one of the holidays and by way of appreciation he took me for dinner in his car, a Citroen 2CV (with very low fuel consumption). He explained that he had a Bentley but couldn’t drive it – if the paperazzi ever took a photo of him driving it, his anti-lead campaign could have bitten the dust! His Wikipedia page is here.
