Football boot issues reported by 82% of female players

Another hard-hitting piece of global importance from the BBC. An extract:
The research found boots on the market are largely designed for white males.

  1. Interesting that 34% of women report “discomfort” and 32 of white men! so it seems much the same % of white men in fact. With 48% of black players reporting discomfort it suggest the story really is about colour. I imagine all “top flight” players customise their equipment to get maximum comfort and support. And it seems perfectly logical that the market overall in europe tends to reflect european feet given that the vast majority of players will be white males across the continent. If the women’s game grows beyond the current position of a few exhibition teams to a geniunely widespread participation I’m sure the market will follow.
Of course this is also yet another small nail in the coffin of the feminist contention that sex differences are irrelevant to “gender”.
