Regular followers of this website will be familiar with the story of the refusal of the (female) managing editor of the UK edition of The Spectator to accept our full-page advertisement on domestic violence. Her decision – which she has declined to justify – amounts to censorship and the denial of free speech, through the denial of a platform, even a platform that would cost £6,000+ for one advertisement in one print edition.
I’m about to email my contact at The Spectator an open letter, to be forwarded to Fraser Nelson, editor of The Spectator, and the UK edition managing editor. The footnote hyperlinks can be accessed on this version, the letterhead version is here.
