It appears that Laura Bates has a new book out – ‘Men Who Hate Women’, so she’s taken to FeMail to make a catalogue of unsubstantiated allegations and spread hysteria, as only she knows how. Her school visits are increasingly meeting with resistance from students – only boys by her account, though I wonder – who doubt her anecdotes and ideology. She reports that, on investigation, it is revealed that the ‘boys’ are being ‘radicalised’ by ‘extremists’ online. She points the finger at the Men’s Rights and Incel communities – but fails to provide evidence, the one name she includes being that of an Andrew Anglin, who I find writes for The Daily Stormer. Ten points for conflation, missy. She warns parents to be mindful of the content their children are consuming (assuming that we’re all pro/feminist, and couldn’t possibly be totally happy for our children to be accessing heterodox information) and disturbingly confirms that she’s been alerting counter-extremist organisations.
