Treat male circumcision like FGM, campaigners urge

A tip of the hat to talkRADIO for this. An extract:

Although non-therapeutic male circumcision is not offered on the NHS…

This is inaccurate. Whilst not widespread, we know some Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) in the NHS cover the cost of MGM, particular in areas where populations of Jews or Muslims tend to be poor, and in the absence of doctors performing MGM, the risk of even more damage than is inevitable during MGM is high. We have not campaigned against NHS-funded (i.e. taxpayer-funded, mainly male taxpayer-funded) MGM, for fear of driving parents into paying criminals (Offences Against the Person Act 1861) to carry out the mutilations of their boys in less sanitary conditions than would be expected in a hospital environment.

Mission Impossible at Speakers’ Corner yesterday

The legendary British videographer Anthony J Corniche III – “Tom” – filmed and edited the presentations at the last three ICMIs, and will be filming and editing them at the Chicago conference. His fundraiser for that conference has so far raised £885 towards his £1,500 goal, I urge you to donate what you can afford. J4MB supporters have been among the most generous donors to date.

Tom is also engaged in a year-long project filming MRAs at Speakers’ Corner, in London. Most of our discussions with passers by are cordial and productive, but sometimes we engage with people who are utterly impervious to rational arguments, or believe that their personal anecdotes trump factual evidence.

The couple in this clip (4:56) from yesterday were an example of the latter. In response to my request to name just one area where the human rights of women and girls specifically are assaulted by the state in the UK today, the woman claimed there are “many”, but declined to provide an example. In the words of WC Fields:

A woman drove me to drink. ‘Tis the one thing I’m indebted to her for.

6oodfella: Men And Women Are Held To Different Standards #13 (Layla Moran MP)

Our thanks to Sean for this (video, 51:17).

Yesterday Elizabeth posted a link to hequal’s excellent commentary on the Layla Moran MP story – here. The Sun covered the story, here. An extract:

Tory MP Philip Davies told The Sun: “Domestic Violence is completely unacceptable irrespective of whether the man or woman is the victim or perpetrator.

“However, I suspect the reaction of some MPs would have been rather different if it had been a male MP admitting domestic violence against a woman.

“These double standards are not acceptable and I trust that the feminists in Parliament who campaign on the issue of domestic violence speak out about this. I am not holding my breath.”

A text exchange between a daughter and her mother

Our thanks to Tom for this:

DAUGHTER: Hi Mum, I need some advice. I’ve got some of my boyfriend’s cum stuck in my hair. How do I get it out, will I have to cut it out?

MOTHER: It’s so nice you can send me such a frank text. No, you won’t have to cut it out, I’ve had loads of cum in my hair over the years and it’ll just wash out.

DAUGHTER: Bloody auto correct, supposed to spell ‘GUM’.

Arizona woman can use fertilized embryos to get pregnant without ex-husband’s consent, court rules. He will be financially responsible for the child.

Our thanks to Kronk for this. An extract:

Judge Maria Elena Cruz wrote the dissenting opinion [J4MB: in the 2-1 decision]. She emphasized that the couple signed a contract in 2014 agreeing to not use the embryos without mutual consent.

The agreement, signed at a fertility clinic, states that in the case of divorce or separation the embryos “cannot be used to create a pregnancy without the express, written consent of both parties, even if donor gametes were used to create the embryos.”

Cruz criticized the majority of the court’s ruling, stating it was explicitly prohibited by the contract. She said the lower court’s decision should have been affirmed.

“Do contracts matter?” she wrote. “I believe they do.”

Contracts evidently don’t matter when it comes to fulfilling women’s wishes. Women are above the law.

Sun Tzu: “The Art of War”. Winston Churchill: “We must just KBO”.

Not a month goes by without at least one person directing me to one or more points in The Art of War, a 2,500+ year old treatise by the Chinese military strategist Sun Tzu. The associated Wikipedia page is here, a free download here. From Chapter 12, “The Attack by Fire” (p.50):

Sun Tzu said: There are five ways of attacking with fire. The first is to burn soldiers in their camp; the  second is to burn stores; the third is to burn baggage trains; the fourth is to burn arsenals and magazines; the fifth is to hurl dropping fire amongst the enemy.

Useful advice there for anti-feminists, I think we can all agree. It’s time for someone to write The Art of War Against Feminism.

Winston Churchill could be more pithy than Sun Tzu, as Mike P reminded me recently. His potent spirit of perseverance and determination was best summed up in one of his own maxims: “We must just KBO.” The initials stood for “Keep Buggering On.”

Emma Sands, 32, impatient mother, punched grandmother, 64, in the face repeatedly because she was walking too slowly on the school run. Suspended sentence.
