Ann Coffey MP
Our thanks to Dougie for this. The start of the BBC piece:
Juries in rape trials may have to be scrapped to combat a falling number convictions for the crime, an MP said.
Ann Coffey says many jurors were reluctant to convict as they do not understand the issue of consent. [J4MB: Jurors understand the issue of consent perfectly well. They do NOT understand warped feminist narratives on the issue of consent, created by hatchet-faced feminists (often lesbians) who are disgusted by the idea of heterosexual sex, and who are incapable of understanding that most women enjoy sex with men, and do not need to repeat the mantra “I am freely giving my ongoing enthusiastic consent to this activity” throughout. Long may that remain true.]
The Stockport Labour MP told the Commons the “scales of justice have been tipped against victims”, after a 12% drop in rape convictions this year.
Justice Minister Lucy Frazer said convictions for all sexual offences had increased during the last decade.
