Our swimming pond is NOT gender fluid: Fury of Hampstead Heath ladies after men identifying as women are allowed into their famous bathing lake

Our thanks to Mike P for this. An extract:

Julie Bindel, a feminist writer who has also been swimming at the pond for more than three decades, added: ‘It is totally unacceptable to allow men who identify as women, but who are otherwise male bodied and socialised as men, to be in a women-only space. I have seen mothers bring their young daughters who are self-conscious about their bodies but want to feel good about swimming and exposing their skin to the sun. The last thing they want is to look behind them and see a male-bodied person pretending to be a woman in order to gawp at them.’ [J4MB: We expect they wouldn’t want to be gawped at by lesbians such as Julie Bindel, either.]

    • The thing is women has been very active in demanding all kind of private spaces for them, while destroying any semblance of a male only private space as something intrinsically evil, so this is a little bit of karma

  1. If it wasn’t for the disgraceful attempts to disturb children I’d find myself in full support of the Trans……….. movement. It does after all bring feminist theory to its conclusion, if “gender” is separate from biological sex then what could be more feminist than men and women swapping at will?

As you say ” We expect they wouldn’t want to be gawped at by lesbians such as Julie Bindel” but it again shows the hypocrisy of Bindel. Someone sexually attracted to women on a nude female swim surely a gay bloke with a penis would be a safer bet. More of this “nonsense on stilts” to perhaps bring us back to our senses.

  2. I can’t help but wonder whether the bovine Bindel’s real concern is that she’ll have competition in the surreptitious gawping game. It’s still common to regard homosexual men as paedophiles, without justification, yet I cannot recall ever reading or hearing of lesbians being regarded with similar suspicion.

    • And of course lesbian acts have NEVER been illegal.
      Until relatively recently homosexual acts would;

      Have them imprisoned,
      Get them fired,
      Professionally ruined,
      Harassed and
      followed by police,
      Beaten up on the streets,
      Snubbed by friends and
      (ex) colleagues,
      Excommunicared from church,
      Get your private life exposed
      in the press.
      And much else.

Alan Turing, computer genius and Bletchley Park code breaking hero who won us WWII single handed (well, almost), took his own life rather than submit to chemical castration (again).

How is it that some women who have never suffered this oppression (or anything slightly like it) even now can’t stop complaining?

      • Yes its odd that the fact that men could be imprisoned for homosexual acts is rarely mentioned ,just like it’s rarely mentioned that men over 21 only got the vote in 1918.

      • Contrary to the feminists claims it has always been the case in western Europe (and may be so elsewhere) that men have their sexual behaviour “policed”. Though really it was the late Victorian era in which this included the Police. It is interesting that the laws “cleaning up” prostitution were the catalyst for the very new law that famously caught out Oscar Wilde(he’d been cavorting with male prostitutes). If one reads the debates at the time the power behind these laws were the religious women’s groups and their “white knights” and the central cause was maintaining men’s responsibility to support their wives and not “abandon” them for pleasure. Now long forgotten but it was in fact all of a piece with the Temperance movement: that men would spend money on drink (and Gambling) that was for their families. Women were not “in power” but were clearly in the forefront of public debate and a powerful influence. And their key was always that a “straying” man was a danger to his responsibilities to his wife.
Hence no one was, and is, that bothered by lesbians.

  3. feminists support trans gender people for the military, but do not want them in their pond… How does this equation add up ? How does this ‘logic’ work ? That’s why I say women are not fit to govern.

    • Well many women have always been happy to see men go off and fight wars to protect them. They have also been prepared to see men go down with the ship while they escape. At the same time they like female only spaces so at least their attitude to trans genders is consistent with their attitude to men.

  4. This translates as,
“…anything that is theirs is not negotiable, but anthing that is ours (the ‘Boy’ Scouts for example) is up for grabs…”

  5. I am delighted to hear that the feminist push for ‘inclusivity’ is biting back at them. Of course it is all stupid but since stupid is the new rule, I am very glad that some men are making use of facilities otherwise denied males.
