Our thanks to Gerry for this. There’s a link to the CPS’s associated public statement. In the latter document:
This paper reaffirms our commitment to male victims of these crimes. [J4MB: How is it possible to reaffirm a commitment which never existed?]…
Involve more national men’s groups in the scrutiny of CPS policies, guidance and training and within the VAWG External Consultation Group. [J4MB: These groups will be those which never call for men to get a share of the funding which overwhelmingly goes to women’s organizations, such as the feminist-friendly Men and Boys Coalition which has seemingly achieved precisely nothing in the 10 months of its existence, as we’d have expected.]
From the coalition’s ‘About’ page:
The Coalition will not:
– Provide and promote solutions to individual issues affecting men and boys, that is the remit of the individual organisations and leaders themselves
– Accept or work with organisations or individuals who are anti-women/girls and/or advocate removing resources from women/girls [J4MB: Our emphasis]
– Accept or work with organisations or individuals who express misogyny, [J4MB: misandry is presumably acceptable] homophobia, transphobia, racism or any other form of bigotry or discrimination
The last time I looked, the coalition’s website didn’t even have a position on MGM.
Anyone who believes that the CPS with Alison Saunders at the helm is ever going to give a flying f*** about the suffering of men or boys must have his head in the clouds. This is nothing more than a cynical PR exercise which confrontation-averse manginas will swallow hook, line and sinker.
If everyone who read this gave us just £1 – or even better, £1 monthly – we could change the world. Click here to make a difference. Thanks.
