Beverley Tillyer, 40, jailed for having sex with three 14-year-old schoolboys

Our thanks to Bryn for this, concerning a woman’s sexual assaults on three 14-year-old boys in 2008. Once again we have a female sex offender described in a headline as ‘Mum’. Extracts from the piece, illustrating the gender double standard. How many of these would we see in the account of a trial, if the alleged sex offender were a man?

Dave Mackay, prosecuting, said the offending took place during 2008 when she was in her early 30s and ran a “chaotic household”…

The youngsters did not make a complaint at the time of the offending…

After being arrested Tillyer initially denied carrying out any abuse and claimed she had been raped by the boys…

Kate Bissett, mitigating, said Tillyer suffered from anxiety and a personality disorder. She said: “She was seeking intimacy rather than seeking to exploit them for sexual gratification.” [J4MB: Well, that’s all right, then.]

Glen Jankowski is a blithering idiot

Our thanks to Emily for this. It’s a tweet from Glen Jankowski, Critical psychology lecturer at Leeds Beckett. He claims a new ‘male psychology’ section of the BPS (British Psychology Society) won’t help men or women. A taster:

If the aim of the section is to focus on bringing together men and masculinities researchers, [hopefully not, since the latter are invariably feminists] then the Section must look at what Raewyn Connell calls ‘the patriarchal dividend’. [Why must it, given that feminist patriarchy theory has no basis in reality?] That is how men as a class of people are disproportionately advantaged…

You get the drift. A tip of the hat to Belinda Brown for her response to Jankowski’s tweet.

Raewyn Connell – the lesbian feminist taxpayer-funded parasite who Jankowski imperiously asserts the BPS Men’s Section ‘must’ look to for guidance – is a 73-year-old Australian sociologist. From her website:

I have been an interested observer of masculinities all my life, but began to think of this as a researchable issue in the late 1970s. At that time, anyone interested in power structures could see that the feminist challenge to patriarchy must mean changes in the lives of men.

The 99 Club offers £500 bursaries for ‘comedians’ with vaginas

Our thanks to James for this. An extract:

We know that there will be many more talented female comics out there who we look forward to working with in future. [What’s stopped you in the past?]

We also know that it’s important to take concrete steps to support female performers. [Why is it important? Because so few of them are funny, they need ‘support’?]

Earlier this year we were official partners of the UN Women’s HeforShe gender equality campaign.

Sky News: discussion on “boys’ jobs and girls’ jobs” with Nichi Hodgson, journalist, former dominatrix

Two weeks ago I was in a discussion on Sky News, following a comment by Theresa May during an interview (with her husband) that there exist “boys’ jobs and girls’ jobs” around the house. Needless to say, feminists took offence, so it became a matter of pressing concern to the mainstream media. Sky News invited me at short notice to debate the issue with a feminist, assuring me I’d be informed beforehand who she was, so I could research her.

As I commonly find also with the BBC, I wasn’t informed of the identity of the feminist in advance. She turned out to be Nichi Hodgson, journalist – for the Guardian, among others – and former part-time dominatrix. Kay Burley was in her strident feminist mode, as I’d experienced during a previous interview with her – here (video, 14:49). At one point Burley stated imperiously that I had ‘misspoken’ by referring to men as a class – “You don’t mean that”. She also went in for her trademark forced hysterical laughter, at one or two points.

Sky were unable to get an Outside Broadcast vehicle to Bedford in time, so I contributed from home via Skype – I’ve since bought a HD Logitech webcam – and I was able to see neither Burley nor Hodgson. Hodgson was in a studio, presumably that of Sky News, and I’d wager she had sight of both Burley and myself. She derailed the discussion by disputing my contention that men do more paid employment than women.

I’m still trying to get copyright clearance from Sky to put the piece on our YouTube channel, in order to avoid the risk of a copyright strike. In the meantime the piece is available through others, such as here (video, 10:58), where it’s had 32,000+ views already.

Leaked audio shows doctors’ association LYING about effects of circumcision on the penis

Our thanks to Lawrence for this. Of all the arguments used by proponents of MGM, the argument that men appreciate having been circumcised because it reduces the sensitivity of the penis so they ‘last longer’ before orgasm is one of the most absurd. The same argument could be used for women and the more extreme forms of FGM, but I’ve never heard that used as an argument for FGM.
