Channel 4 News: Tonight’s feminist propaganda piece

Yesterday I posted a piece about there being invariably a feminist propaganda piece on every edition of Channel 4 News. Tonight the programme was just 30 minutes long, as it usually is on Friday nights. Yet the programme makers still found more than 5 minutes for this garbage. At 3:40 we have this gem from Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, interviewed by a simpering Cathy Newman:

What I’m saying is, gender isn’t biology, it’s sociology.

If everyone who read this gave us just £1 – or even better, £1 monthly – we could change the world. Click here to make a difference. Thanks.

  1. How do they think up this drivel, or imagine they are actually impressing anyone with it? Truly, the Emperor is stark bollock naked.

  2. There are so many egregious lies in this piece I could be here all night, but outrage fatigue and a cost benefit analysis prompt me to resist a point by point response.

What I will say though, is in what sense is this piece of festering excreta ‘News’, as opposed to an attempt at morally high ground propaganda with a veneer of intellectual superiority?

Oh yes, and Emma Watson is an actRESS for f**k sake.

Why deny it, unless of course they are admitting that females of that profession are inferior, and always end up getting their, er, ‘parts’ out sooner or later.
Yes, even the virginal Julie Andrews (in the film S.O.B.) could not resist flaunting her person in that way.

  3. Total horseshit!. Here they are talking about Boko Haram being the evil people they are and tomorrow they will be forging new alliances with Islam. Total hypocrisy! Hypocrisy so bad it actually makes you angry instead of laughing at them.

  4. On the plus side the author (I’ll be honest never heard of her) did express irritation that all the furore over “our girls” ignores the abductions and killings of “people” which I believe is the term for “not women or girls” in PC News and feminist circles. You know the ones with penises.
Its hardly new for Music Celebrities, Hollywood stars and Couture Designers to adopt political poses, and I suspect generally this is seen as publicity pleasing posing by most apart from their fans. I have to hand it to Dior , simply by printing on some tee shirts they have made a splash with their new appointment, in an industry from which even I could immediately think of half a dozen big name women designers!
And of course it was full of the usual contradictions, if gender is sociology how can the author say “trans” women aren’t proper women? Just to add to my amusement I do wish someone would also ask about “trans” men. I am always amused at the daft explanations as to why showing flesh to sell, being sexy, is empowering or choice in one breath and oppression in another. Showing my age a remember a particularly hilarious such explanation of Madonna’s “right” to wear a conical cup brassier.

Remind me who pays for channel four…………….
