“Samantha Pressdee, a comedian who allegedly had a “romantic encounter” with Russell Brand, has come to his defence on social media. Hours after the actor was found guilty of one count of rape and three counts of sexual assault, Pressdee hit back at his ‘unfair’ trial. Posting on X, she wrote, “A wife is without her husband. Three children are without their Dad. Yet everyone thinks the real victim in this is a drunk groupie who was cheating on her boyfriend. Someone who has anonymity for life and will probably get a financial payout.”

Nigel writes:

“The ‘bombshell’ statement is simply that she uses common sense and reality to decide that her former lover may be no angel but neither were his ‘groupies’. Another person challenging the ‘narrative’ that Brand was a ‘hidden’ abuser of starry eyed damsels. Like Ian Winter KC, Samantha Pressdee will find herself under fire from Feminists, probably cancelled.”
