  1. I hope he’s right about the provisions being watered down. I’m impressed he took the time to look into the evidence. His colleagues are dangerous precisely because they “virtue signal” without thinking or reading the Bills etc. put before them. It is the huge strength of the Domestic Abuse/Violence Against woman and Girls industry that it can always call upon the apparent virtue and chivalry of protecting women and girls to support a raft of policies and funding that has nothing to do with violence or indeed anything to do with abuse. hence it has always been able to sustain funding throughout the decades. By coincidence this am I drove past a local roundabout which still has, overgrown, a huge Z made of paving slabs. Some readers may recall the years of the “Zero tolerance” campaigns of the 1990s. No its the “gift that keeps on giving” .
