Gemma Standbridge, 25, spared jail for SECOND child sex offence

Our thanks to John for this. An extract:

Mr Recorder Ben Nolan QC today sentenced Stanbridge to eight months imprisonment, suspended for two years, with rehabilitation requirements. The judge said: “She received a community order last year for an offence of sexual assault on a child.

“She has, within a matter of weeks of the sentence, committed a further offence of sexual activity with a child, the same child.”

The judge said a psychologist’s report into Stanbridge’s background, problems and learning difficulties meant the prison sentence could be suspended. But he warned her: “Should you commit any further offence, you are at risk of having to serve this sentence in addition to any other sentence imposed upon you.”

Hmm, I can’t recall any case of a man receiving a suspended sentence after sexually assaulting children, following a psychologist’s report. It’s almost as if Philip Davies MP was right, and women are treated more leniently in sentencing terms than men…

  1. Why, it’s almost as if the judiciary knows that allowing women to commit these crimes is liable to perpetuate a cycle and produce at least some adult sex offenders next generation. The females of which will probably be let off…

  2. Our culture must come to grips with the idea that post emancipation, women are no longer above common rules. For now, hey still continue to be, however.. our excessive lenience towards women is no longer justified and is in sharp contrast with the treatment we dish out to men. But we like to call ourselves just and democratic. I’m afraid, we are neither one anymore. Blatant gender discrimination against males of all ages is not a just or fair society. it can not be.

  3. Every time you see a situation at workplace, where your female colleague is spared some difficult tasks ,or is exempted from some duties simply for being a woman, you as a man must take notice. You must not simply shrug it off, thinking what the hell, she’s a woman, so I don’t mind. Because this is precisely the kind of thinking that perpetuates the current status quo. Start with yourself, because your willingness to shrug it off for women is the very reason. women get away with everything that men do not. They wanted emancipation, they entered workforce, they declared themselves equal. you’d have to be a real fool not to hold them accountable for it.
