Anti-MGM protest with ‘Men Do Complain’ – NSPCC social event, London, Thursday, 25 February

Richard Duncker, the top man at the anti-MGM organization Men Do Complain, informs me of a protest planned in nine days’ time, in London, 25 February, 17:30 – 20:30. Unfortunately I cannot attend due to a prior commitment, but I urge supporters to attend.

The target organization is the NSPCC – which should be campaigning vigorously to end MGM in the UK, yet remains shamefully silent on the issue – and the venue is identified in the MDC announcement. If you’d like to support Richard and his people, contact him directly:

Email: richard@mendocomplain.com
Mobile: 07810 005886

Richard is an expert video cameraman and editor, and he hopes to record some valuable video footage at the protest.

In the next few days we’ll be revealing the date and time of our anti-MGM protest outside the Thornhill Clinic, Luton.

Another feminist nominates herself for a ‘Gormless Feminist of the Month’ award

In March 2015, Milo Yiannopoulos was one of the key speakers on an episode of The Big Questions, in a discussion on the subject, ‘Has Britain become hostile to blokes?’ The BBC managed to introduce anti-male sexism into the description, describing men as ‘blokes’ – if the gender were changed, would they have referred to women as ‘birds, ‘chicks’ etc.? Of course not.

Milo effortlessly made Kate Smurthwaite and another intellectually challenged feminist look even more foolish than they’d appeared when they’d started speaking. The piece has had over 30,000 views on our YouTube channel, and it’s here.

A feminist using the pseudonym ‘Hot Chocolate’ has posted the following comments, possibly unaware we moderate comments before publishing or trashing them. Normally we’d trash nonsense like this, but on this occasion we thought she made such a great job of nominating herself for a ‘Gormless Feminist of the Month’ award, that we’d publish it both on our YouTube channel and here. She’s a regular Jane Austen. Enjoy:

Men have ruled and dominated the world since the beginning. [All men, in all places, at all times? OK, got it.] Over the last century women have argued [they didn’t argue before the last century?] and are gaining some stance [stance?] for equality/equanimity [equanimity is defined in my Chambers dictionary as ‘evenness of mind or temper’ – has this resulted from arguing? This is already a Magical Mystery Tour around a feminist’s brain, never an enlightening or enjoyable experience.] Arguing against patriarchy is a struggle, [possibly because it doesn’t exist?] and in sometimes (sic) the struggle becomes forceful. [what does this mean?]

[I can’t be bothered to comment any more on this blithering idiot’s output. Things to do, people to see…]

These poor men are experiencing the effects of society’s positive discrimination for women. Sadly, what men fail to see is that men have had positive discrimination for millennia, that they have privileged from patriarchy for generations.

Feminism isn’t about ‘getting back at men’. It’s about levelling the playing the field. Women have had it bad for so long, it’s about time society gave them a helping hand. We’re nowhere near being equal (not the same, but of equal value) when something like ‘lad culture’ and the bullying and dominance and arrogance that comes with it is tolerated because it is perceived to be just that, lad culture, imposing no threat or harm.

There’s no need to demonise men. These poor men feel demonised, and that is unnecessary. But there is need to raise awareness that society is still largely patriarchal, and men privilege from it, and that until we rectify this there will always be struggle and disquiet from those striving to make things equal.
