Pathetic – and utterly predictable. That’s what you get with an Education Secretary (Nicky Morgan) who is also the Minister for Women and Equalities. Ideological brainwashing of teenagers, prompted by an online petition by feminist grievance collectors.
From the article:
The (Department of Education) source said: “Female thinkers have played a key role in shaping political theory not just in the UK but across the world, it’s obviously right that students should have an opportunity to study their work. Consultation responses clearly backed this change.”
The source said under the previous syllabus feminism had not been a compulsory subject, but had been popular among students alongside other political movements such as environmentalism. In changing the curriculum, however, the Government overlooked the importance of feminism as a stand-alone subject. Under the new proposals, students will be required [my emphasis] to study the women’s rights movement.
So who exactly is the teenager who has prompted the Department of Education into a U-turn, June Eric-Udoye? Six months ago we published a piece about her – following a blog piece in which she’d criticised us for awarding ‘Lying Feminist of the Month’ awards, to Laura Bates among others. Lying is a perfectly honorable tactic in the eyes of feminists, as we see decade after decade.
Ms Eric-Udoye was 16 at the time. For all I know, she still is. She’s a blogger for New Statesman, Huffington Post, and the Guardian. Two excerpts from her output should tell you all you need to know about this brainwashed teenager. Her Cosmopolian profile:
I’m June, 16 year old teenage feminist blogger and obsessed with smashing patriarchy. Often found with my nose in a book, talking about vaginas or dancing to Beyonce. Oh, and I’m addicted to Coca-Cola.
Her mistresspieces for the Huffington Post include Feminism: Believing in the Power of Vaginas Is Not Something to be Ashamed Of. An extract, displaying her genius in full flow:
I’m a feminist. I’m a very, very proud feminist (this is when you can start judging me). And why shouldn’t I be? Fannies are WAY better. I mean, come on?! We can bring new life into the world and still bounce back into shape. The fact that even men came out of a vagina is saying something about how powerful vaginas actually are. The power of the vagina is why we continue to be oppressed and dominated every day.
And exactly WHEN are we all going to wake up and decide as a demographic that social disruption and unrest is the only option? OK, OK, easier to sit on our combined arses and take the kickings, right?
This might be the most extraordinary mish-mash of non sequiturs and inherently self contradicting panegyric I’ve ever read – no mean feat to the extent one hardly knows where to start.
I suppose one could do worse than to repeat yet again that to have a ‘Minster for education AND equalities’ is to attempt a marriage between two complete incompatibles to the extent the neither can possibly addressed satisfactorily. One can only conclude that they are not supposed to be, and are intended as a grotesque and dangerous political fudge with our children’s future.
Here are some quotes from this truely bizarre article, followed by the blindingly obvious response.
“The (Department of Education) source said: “Female thinkers have played a key role in shaping political theory …..”
What ‘source’ would that be? Who are these female ‘thinkers’? Name them. That they’ve played a ‘key role’ doesn’t surprise me – I BET they have.
“it’s obviously right that students should have an opportunity to study their work. Consultation responses clearly backed this change.”
Means that young people who cannot yet judge where the truth is likely to lie can be misled and lied to at an impressionable age. What sort of ‘consultation’ would that be, how were the ‘responses’ doctored, & how were conclusions arrived at?
(Notice how sentences are constructed in such a way as to hide the truth, not reveal it.)
“The source said…”
There’s that un-named ‘source’ again.
“..under the previous syllabus feminism had not been a compulsory subject, but had been popular among students”
How was this ‘popularity’ established? Name the method used.
“..alongside other political movements such as environmentalism.”
This is the second time I’m not surprised.
“In changing the curriculum…”,
In corrupting the curriculum…
“the Government overlooked the importance of feminism as a stand-alone subject..”
..overlooked femarxism as a device and weapon to damage and overturn democracy..
“Ms Eric-Udoye was 16 at the time…”
16? Not suprised for the third time then. Unlike her, we are no longer young enough to know everything.
“Her Cosmopolian profile: 16 year old teenage feminist blogger and obsessed with smashing patriarchy.”
16 year olds are good at smashing anything they don’t understand.
“Often found with my nose in a book, talking about vaginas..”
Pretty much all female mammals have one of those I’m told.
“Oh, and I’m addicted to Coca-Cola.”
Now this may well be true. The combination of sugar and a nasty drug called caffeine is more dangerous than generally realised. Caffeine is a plant poison intended to kill insects. Consuming too much for too long can cause serious illness. Ask me how I know. I advise Ms Eric-Udoye to desist.
“Fannies are WAY better. I mean, come on?! We can bring new life into the world and still bounce back into shape.”
Really?
“The fact that even men came out of a vagina is saying something about how powerful vaginas actually are. The power of the vagina is why we continue to be oppressed and dominated every day.”
Well, if the vagina is that powerful, how can it’s owners be so easily oppressed and dominated every day? Something not contiguous here. This means the poor girl is desperately insecure, and looking for vaildation and self-worth. Sorry to hear it.
* * * * *
Well, that’s all I can bear for the time being!
One can but hope this pernicious catalogue of shocking tosh and nonsense drowns in it’s own miasmic flatulence.
‘The fact that even men came out of a vagina is saying something about how powerful vaginas actually are.’
One might as well say that the taste of a sausage or a hamburger is entirely due to the power of the meat mincer. This is what comes of encouraging women to think they have something useful to say.
Female thinkers?
Haha that’s a fair point! How do you know when a feminist is lying? Her lips move.
The mind boggles
“Lying is a perfectly honorable tactic in the eyes of feminists, as we see decade after decade”.
Aren’t you being redundant here Mike? I thought the definition of a feminist was a liar?
