I wondered the same thing, but I think we can safely guess the answer. Clearly there’s no serious crime in New York to occupy female police officers around midnight.
I noticed that the female judge did not dismiss the charges as absurd but gave the men what seems to be the local equivalent of a bind over, meaning that she accepted their validity and I wondered what the gender of the arresting officer or officers was.
