Profile of a Misogynist: Mike Buchanan

My thanks to an estimable American gentleman for pointing me to this piece published by an American feminist blogger, ‘Mancheeze’. This ray of sunshine resides in Vancouver. Lucky Vancouver! Her piece is full of nonsense which is demonstrably so, but I spent a little while posting a comment, which she may or may not deign to publish. In case she doesn’t, here’s what I wrote:

“Hi. A supporter just pointed me to your tirade, which I’ve ‘speed read’. Delighted to be attacked by you – especially since much of what you say is demonstrably ridiculous – so I’ll post a link to this on shortly.

Firstly, our website on sexism is You couldn’t find stories of men writing about the impact of sexism on them? Look again.

I’ve run Campaign for Merit in Business for well over two years, and have engaged with two parliamentary inquiries. ALL the studies you cite – and others – make it clear that not only is correlation (of female representation on boards, and enhanced corporate financial performance) NOT evidence of causation, it can’t be taken to even IMPLY it. Only longitudinal studies can provide evidence of a causal link, and longitudinal studies clearly show a causal link between increasing female representation on boards and DECLINES in corporate financial performance. 15 minutes ago we posted a public challenge of the Bank of England, which includes links to the evidence:

Our public challenge of Mark Carney, Governor, Bank of England

We’re shortly going to present Carolien Criado-Perez with her second ‘Lying Feminist of the Month’ award. She also won our ‘Whiny Feminist of the Month’ award, of course.

Have a nice day.

About Mike Buchanan

I'm a men's human rights advocate, writer, and publisher. My primary focus is leading the political party I launched in 2013, Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them). I still work actively on two campaigns I launched in early 2012, Campaign for Merit in Business and the Anti-Feminism League. In 2014 I launched The Alternative Sexism Project, aiming to raise public understanding that the sexism faced by men and boys has far more grievous consequences than the sexism faced by women and girls.

  • Having watched this compilation, I think it is really rather good. She has managed to encapsulate each one of the points Mr Buchanan made on the videos, rather well.

It’s really good that feminist bloggers are actually getting the message out.

Of course, the personal comments she makes about Mr Buchanan will be seen for the ad hominems they really are, and therefore dismissed as the weakest form of argument there is. But otherwise, not bad. Not bad at all.

I think only two things are worth mentioning – they are minor really, but probably worthy of bringing to the good lady’s attention. I think she wrongly attributes Mr Buchanan’s comments about women who appear on page 3 as taking money for doing very little. She says this refers to him commenting about prostitution, which is not the case. And, she refers to it being a black woman who blocked him getting the job, This really is a figment of her imagination, which she would do well to check again.

Otherwise, good effort. 7 3/4 out of 10, I would say.

  • This woman vlogs on You Tube as Sael Pelani you can see a video on her on Bane666 channel which is quite amusing

  • Oh, that’s Sael Palani (on Youtube). Mike, maybe if you dressed up as a mouse and infested her appartment she might like you.

  • vadark

That video she did is brilliant material in support of men and boys! As Herbert Purdy said, she encapsulated all of Mike’s comments (all of which were very truthful, pertinent and succinct) into a compilation where the outcome will absolutely benefit men and boys by helping to spread Mike’s words. These feminists really are rather dim. if that’s all she could do….hahahaha…lol…what an idiot!
