Martin Daubney: ‘Men live in fear of teenage girls flirting with them’

Our thanks to Martin for pointing us towards this insightful article published by the Daily Telegraph last month. We shouldn’t be surprised that young men are increasingly disinclined to train to become teachers. So many children live in female-dominated environments (especially if they’re raised by single mothers) and attend schools which have become ever more female-dominated environments over the past 40 years.

About Mike Buchanan

I'm a men's human rights advocate, writer, and publisher. My primary focus is leading the political party I launched in 2013, Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them). I still work actively on two campaigns I launched in early 2012, Campaign for Merit in Business and the Anti-Feminism League. In 2014 I launched The Alternative Sexism Project, aiming to raise public understanding that the sexism faced by men and boys has far more grievous consequences than the sexism faced by women and girls.

  • Frankly I think it’s the feminist ideology in schools. There have , after all , long been loads of women teachers. However the hysteria is relatively recent. As with the lack of seriousness given to the case of the social worker by her professional bod, one presumes because she accused a middle aged man. The problem is that male teachers are not properly protected by their professional bodies nor the law.

  • in the old days in schools,a casual touch on the shoulder, head, arm would be considered correctly as simply a friendly, affectionate gesture. It is reassuring to many students. Now only when you are a female teacher, are you allowed to do this, further alienating male teachers from students and further damaging the prospects of male students. Once again, there are two unwritten standards. One harsh for men and one super lenient for women. When men allow themselves to be measured by a different yardstick, this is what they get. And as long as men continue to wrongly believe that women are somehow better by nature, this is a deserved outcome. A reminder that such blatant double standards between men and women are mostly confined to the western world where men themselves continue to put women on a pedestal for no apparent reason and treat them as something special, better than themselves. Untill men stop deluding themselves about the true nature of women, this absurd scenario will continue. Women have by now shown that they are capable of same crimes, same cunning, stealing and cheating as men.All the while they showed that they are not capable of same science skills nor physical abilities. Why putting them on a pedestal?
