Now BBC bans the G-word: Sports reporter joked that he’d been beaten in judo bout by a 19-year-old GIRL… so ‘sexist’ word cut from broadcast

More ridiculous political correctness from the BBC. The girl herself didn’t find the remark sexist, but the ever-vigilant thought police at the BBC inevitably did, and decided to protect the public from a shocking word.

About Mike Buchanan

I'm a men's human rights advocate, writer, and publisher. My primary focus is leading the political party I launched in 2013, Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them). I still work actively on two campaigns I launched in early 2012, Campaign for Merit in Business and the Anti-Feminism League. In 2014 I launched The Alternative Sexism Project, aiming to raise public understanding that the sexism faced by men and boys has far more grievous consequences than the sexism faced by women and girls.

  • every day brings another idiocy. So before they wanted to ban ‘bossy’,now ‘girl’…perhaps tomorrow ‘boy’,…Just about every word seems offensive to women…Clearly there are a lot of women unfit to govern.

  • A good reason for stopping funding this quango through a tax on us all. . If one wanted to see “casual sexism” it’s clear in the Mankind vid. In that , both men and women want to help women. Men; well they are on their own.

  • as opposed to a 19 year old boy? is the b-word banned?

I don’t see a problem. Men and boys are erased from tragedy/heroics; a girl is erased from accomplishment. Problem? What problem? Congratulations, she just became a title; encourage more of this. ;p
