Paul Elam: ‘MHRM Overview, 20/20, and Crazy Feminists’

An American, Paul Elam, is the founder and publisher of ‘A Voice for Men’, possibly the most influential MHR website in the world. He’s just posted a 28-minute-long video in which he talks of his experience being filmed for the ABC programme 20/20 which is going to air soon and be seen by 50 million viewers. I’ll post the piece as soon as it’s made available. Newsweek is shortly going to publish an article about the MHRM, including AVfM. We’re starting to see increased media exposure for the MHRM. In the UK filming has started on a television documentary about feminism and the MHRM, which will be broadcast in the New Year.

Few people are as well placed as Paul Elam to give an overview of the MHRM, and possible future directions. The video:

Are some feminists (e.g. Tracey Emin) a pain in the Arts?

My thanks to the gentleman from ‘A Voice for Men’ who posted a piece today which referred to the Fawcett Society’s ‘This is what a feminist looks like’ T-shirt. In Feminism: the ugly truth I had a number of links to the Fawcett website which at the time featured photographs of numerous well-known people wearing the shirt. From memory, they included Ken Livingstone, Hilary Benn, Theresa May (!), Harriet Harman… and the Royal Academy’s ‘Professor of Drawing’, Tracey Emin. The following photo of the utterly talentless Ms Emin inspired a chapter in the book titled, ‘Are some feminists (e.g. Tracey Emin) a pain in the Arts?’

What are women REALLY interested in? Free downloadable material from ‘The Glass Ceiling Delusion’.

I once had an exchange of emails with a feminist in which she maintained that women in general are as interested in politics as men, and men in general as interested in fashion as women. Incredible. Almost all the women I’ve encountered with an interest in politics have been interested in driving forward the special treatment of women, under the guise of ‘women’s issues’. Many female MPs have been clear that was their sole motivation for entering politics e.g. Harriet Harman. Male voters in Peckham and Camberwell have clearly been distracted by her violent violet eyes…

A denial of gender-typical differences drives much government policy. Over the past 30+ years the state has spent many millions of pounds encouraging women to choose engineering as a profession, with little impact. Even today, well over 90% of engineering graduates are male. Why is that deemed a problem to be addressed with the application of taxpayer’s money, when 90%+ of psychology graduates being female isn’t?

The formerly male-dominated fields to which women have been attracted in large numbers include medicine. 70% of medical students today are women, and more than 50% of GPs. Medicine has a number of features which distinguish it from engineering:

– the pay is better (GPs earn an average of £104,000 p.a.)

– the surroundings are always pleasant and warm

– plenty of social interactions, and gratitude from ‘customers’

– public sector, minimal chances of being fired on the grounds of incompetence (negligence has to be ‘gross’ to justify firing a doctor)

– opportunity to choose the hours you work

The feminisation of the NHS has proved a disaster for patients and taxpayers. Female doctors are far more likely than male doctors to quit the profession altogether, work part-time, and refuse to work at night or weekends. The government’s solution to the resulting crisis is to train more doctors, at a cost to the taxpayer of £250,000 each. It’s mainly men who’ll pick up the bill, of course. 72% of income tax collected in the UK is paid by men, and just 28% by women. British men collectively pay £64 BILLION more income tax every year than British women.

Back to the question of what women are really interested in, and how it differs from what men are interested in. In The Glass Ceiling Delusion: the real reasons more women don’t reach senior positions (2011) I revealed the results of a scientific investigation into the question. By way of a Bank Holiday gift to followers of my blogs, the chapter in question is downloadable here:

Life After Women: ‘Interview with a herbivore’

Barely a day goes by in which I don’t learn of an interesting new MHRA, blog, or website, through ‘A Voice for Men’ http://avoiceformen.com. From time to time I’ve read about Japanese ‘Grass Eaters’ or ‘Herbivores’ – the significant proportion (often said to be 40%+) of young-to-middle-aged Japanese men who consciously avoid intimate relationships with individual women. But detailed information has been hard to come by.

How do these Japanese men compare with the currently small proportion of Western men who self-identify as MGTOWs (Men Going Their Own Way)? A new piece on AVfM provides some answers to that intriguing question. I share the interviewer’s analysis that the number of Western MGTOWs is going to climb steadily.

Fewer men are going to volunteer for slavery as the months and years roll by. How could it be otherwise? And how will women respond to this challenging reality – by continuing to whine, ‘Where have all the good men gone’? When will women realise they need to look in the mirror to answer the question? Men have – at long last – started to ask themselves the question, ‘Where have all the good women gone?’

18-year-old woman makes a false rape allegation, wastes ‘a lot of police time’, and her punishment is…?

We shouldn’t be surprised at the relentless series of false rape allegations reported in the media, when we keep seeing cases like this. There’s almost never a downside for women in making false rape accusations, until and unless they make many such accusations (and even then they’ll receive mild sentences, and probably not custodial).

These malicious women destroy men’s lives with their false accusations – the men’s identities are made public once they’re charged. The coalition committed to reintroducing anonymity for people charged with sexual assault until and unless convicted, but predictably reneged on the commitment not long after coming to office.

The story as reported by BBC News:

The woman isn’t even named in the piece. Who can say she hasn’t pulled this stunt many times before?

Caroline Criado-Perez is asking the media to ‘fact check’. No, seriously, she is!

In common with many prominent militant feminists, Caroline Criado-Perez is adept at wrapping the feminist-friendly media around her little finger. So I was stunned by the cheek she displays in a new piece, asking the media to ‘fact check’:

http://weekwoman.wordpress.com/2013/08/25/open-letter-to-the-media-a-plea-for-fact-checking/

For the past 40+ years feminists have routinely lied and made misleading statements during press, radio and television interviews, as well as in their publications, on their websites etc. The media NEVER challenges feminists on even their wildest assertions – often of the ‘one in three women’ or ‘one in four women’ variety – either during the interviews, or afterwards. So it falls to non-journalists to publicly challenge them.

I’ve posted a comment which is ‘awaiting moderation’ but in common with other comments I’ve posted on CC-P’s site, I think we can be confident it won’t be published, so here it is, in full:

Pot, kettle, black? The blissful irony of you asking the media to ‘fact check’. It’s now been ten weeks since I challenged you to substantiate a statement you made on BBC radio, or concede that the statement was misleading, and you haven’t:

https://j4mbdotorgdotuk.wordpress.com/2013/06/10/our-public-challenge-to-caroline-criado-perez/

I’m not aware of a single example of a feminist retracting a misleading statement made in the media, whether it’s press, radio or television. Examples of women who’ve failed to respond to our public challenges include you, Kat Banyard, Heather McGregor, Helena  Morrissey… and others. You’re all utterly shameless in your contempt for the truth when pursuing your misandrous goals.

An invitation to contribute to a book about male victims of domestic abuse / violence

Contrary to popular opinion, domestic abuse and violence (‘DA/DV’) aren’t gendered issues where almost all the victims are women, and almost all the perpetrators men. Hundreds of academic studies show that in their relationships with intimate partners, women are at least as aggressive as men:

https://j4mbdotorgdotuk.wordpress.com/2013/05/08/women-are-as-physically-aggressive-or-more-aggressive-in-their-relationships-with-spouses-or-male-partners/

Across the world, the support available for male victims of DA/DV is miniscule compared with the support available for female victims, and often non-existent. We don’t want abused women to receive less support than they do currently. We simply want abused men to receive the same level of support.

I’m planning to write a book about men who are (or who have been) victims of DA/DV. The identities of the men will, of course, be kept confidential. I would ask men with an interest in contributing their experiences of DA/DV to contact me, along with any women who have perpetrated DA/DV. My email address is mike@j4mb.org.uk and my mobile number 07967 026163. Thank you.
