Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and others sue BBC, Washington Post, Associated Press and Reuters (members of the Trusted News Initiative founded by the BBC in 2020) over US Free Speech and Antitrust Violations

Our thanks to Jim for this. He writes:
Mike, have you been wondering why articles you publish never appear in Google searches or why mainstream media ignore your publications or your comments immediately disappear?  Why the only news published now is left-wing or reflects only Marxist Feminist ideology? Now you know why. The Trusted News Initiative founded by the BBC controls what you see and what you don’t see. Outrageous that UK taxpayers are funding the BBC to stifle and kill free speech.  The Free Speech Union should join the lawsuit or launch an equivalent one here in the UK. The BBC describes the Trusted News Initiative news cartel as follows: The Trusted News Initiative is a partnership, founded by the BBC, that includes organisations from around the globe including AP, AFP, BBC, CBC/Radio-Canada, European Broadcasting Union (EBU), Financial Times, Information Futures Lab, Google/YouTube, The Hindu, The Nation Media Group, Meta/Facebook, Microsoft, Thomson Reuters, Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism, Twitter, The Washington Post, Kompas – Indonesia, Dawn – Pakistan, Indian Express, NDTV – India, ABC – Australia, SBS – Australia, NHK – Japan.

Choon Seng Goh, Asda checkout worker who was kicked and later kneed in the backside by ‘smirking’ female colleague Mercy Asante who dismissed it as ‘banter’ wins sex discrimination case after arguing that a man would have been ‘sacked on the spot’

Our thanks to Mike P for this. The actions and inactions of Asda were disgraceful. We hope Choon Seng Goh receives a HUGE payout for what they (and his female colleague) put him through. His colleague should have been fired at the time of the assaults.

(Toby) Young’s First Law of free speech

An interesting piece by Toby Young in the new edition of The Spectator. I’ve posted the following comments, applying again the hyperlinks which led to the original submission being rejected by the moderators.
Toby, I have raised an issue with one of your colleagues at the Free Speech Union, which I hope will be taken up. It relates to the Scottish government, a matter I covered in my blog piece of 28.5.23, The Scottish government’s CONsultation on reforming the criminal law to address misogyny. Long story short, it could become a criminal offence to challenge feminism and feminists, something we do relentlessly. Mike Buchanan JUSTICE FOR MEN & BOYS

Daniel Korski pulls out of mayor race after groping claim

Appalling. The start of the piece:
Tory London mayoral hopeful Daniel Korski has pulled out of the contest, after being accused of groping by novelist and TV producer Daisy Goodwin. Mr Korski said he “categorically” denied the allegation against him. But he said he was withdrawing from the race because the pressure on his family and the “inability to get a hearing” for his message “makes it impossible for my campaign to carry on”. Ms Goodwin said he groped her during a meeting at 10 Downing Street in 2013.
So Daisy Goodwin has made an allegation – #IDontBelieveHer – against Daniel Korski, but that’s enough to force him out of the London mayoral election. Guilty until proven innocent once again, and how on earth can he possibly prove his innocence?

Football boot issues reported by 82% of female players

Another hard-hitting piece of global importance from the BBC. An extract:
The research found boots on the market are largely designed for white males.
