As False Allegations Spiral Out of Control, Feminist Groups Work to Give False Accusers a Free Pass

A tip of the hat to the American organization SAVE (Stop Abusive and Violent Environments) for this.

The 20mph speed limit is not safer or better for the planet

An interesting piece by Philip Pilkington for Unherd. I posted the following comments:
20mph speed limits in almost all the places I’ve experienced them are insane. If the sole objective is to reduce death and injury of pedestrians, why 20mph, why not 10mph? And if 10mph, why not 0mph, and ban cars, vans and lorries? Just allow pedestrians and cyclists (both with a maximum speed of 3mph) on roads. We’d all be a lot fitter, and the air quality would be great!!! Mike Buchanan JUSTICE FOR MEN & BOYS http://atomic-temporary-215937230.wpcomstaging.com

TEXAS: “I’m going to be long-distance with my boyfriend so I made him sign a contract that means I can SUE him if he cheats on me… trolls say I’m psychotic but I think it’s genius”

Our thanks to Gerry for this. An extract:

According to the document, each party has to share the location with the other 24/7, answer any calls from the other, and stay in daily contact.

The contract read: ‘Both parties are required to do the following: All issues with the opposite party are required to be brought to the attention of the party in question.

‘Arguments must result in resolution, apology, and closing action of affection (long distance will require a gift of some sort to be ordered to each party’s home).

‘Location must always be turned on. Every call seen must be answered. We must call at least once every day. Keep in continuous contact throughout the day. Always give extra reassurance.’

Devon and Geren also listed various things that would be considered violations of the contract.

‘Violation 16: Cheating, including but not limited to: sleeping with someone of the opposite sex, having any sexual contact with someone of the opposite sex, messaging or calling the opposite sex, or sexual innuendos with ill intent.

‘Violation 17: Slander against either party included in this contract; complaining about your relationship, speaking poorly about your partner, etc.

‘Violation 18: ‘Neglect of participating party’s emotional or physical state. Therefore, a lack of reassurance would be considered under this violation,’ the document read.

Because the document isn’t notarized, it is not legally binding, so if Devon or Geren do cheat, neither of them can sue.

Hopes that MRI scans can screen men for prostate cancer

Interesting. More men die of prostate cancer than women die of breast cancer, so we look forward to a national screening programme for prostate cancer (as has long existed for breast cancer and cervical cancer) one day.

Toby Young: Am I not allowed to make fun of women’s football?

A piece in The Spectator. I’ve posted the following comments:
If I wanted to watch poor quality soccer I could watch women or 10-year-old boys play. It would be interesting to experiment and determine the maximum age of boys against whom the top female teams could compete successfully. It would probably be well under 10. Mike Buchanan LAUGHING AT FEMINISTS

Let men speak for men (women’s voices have dominated the debate around men’s issues)

An interesting piece by Connor Tomlinson for The Critic, for which Julie Bindel writes. Connor is a writer and presenter at Carl Benjamin’s LotusEaters. He has also frequently contributed to Talk TV and GB News. He tweets at @Con_Tomlinson.

Spanish FA president Luis Rubiales, who kissed player Jenni Hermoso on the mouth at World Cup final trophy lift, slams ‘idiots’ who spread ‘bulls***’ about his ‘friendly’ kiss

Our thanks to Chloe for this. An extract:
The president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) Luis Rubiales has defended kissing World Cup winner Jenni Hermoso on the mouth before Spain were presented with the trophy on Sunday as ‘an insignicant show of affection’ and called his critics ‘idiots’.
Good points, well made. Chloe writes:
A perfectly reasonable expression of affection and admiration for the woman who helped win the World Cup for Spain. Now let’s see what the hatchet-faced harpies have to say about it!!!

Professor Matt Goodwin: The Collapse of the British Family (cont’d)

Earlier today I published a post responding to Professor Matt Goodwin’s new article The Collapse of the British Family. The post included some comments I made, Alan Craig replies to my comments with:
Excellent. Very good comment, Mike. There’s much discussion here about starting a new political party. Why did J4MB deregister as a political party earlier this year after launching 10 years ago? Are there any lessons for us?
I’ve just replied with this:
Alan, thanks for your kind words. I could write a book in response to your questions! But I guess the bullet points are: – across the world, there exists an empathy gap in relation to men and boys. The best exploration of many of the issues is in William Collins’s “The Empathy Gap”. – we explored 18-20 issues in our manifestos from when we launched in 2013. The final manifesto was published last November, it’s here https://j4mb.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/c8af6-221128-j4mb-manifesto-3.pdf. – male disadvantages are the obvious consequence of female privileging. – presenting facts in support of addressing men’s and boys’ issues never gets any traction, in part because of the empathy gap. To give but one example, carrying out male circumcision (Male Genital Mutilation) of minors is always very harmful (it removes 90% of the nerve cells in the penis which will later give adult males sexual pleasure) and is illegal under the Offences Against the Person Act 1861, being at least ABH and probably GBH. But the criminal justice system won’t bring prosecutions, and I was stopped from bringing a private prosecution. There are no exceptions from the law permitted on religious or cultural grounds. Legislation has existed in relation to Female Genital mutilation since the 1980s. – feminism isn’t the pursuit of gender equality (except rarely), it’s the pursuit of female privilege and supremacy, and has been since at least the Seneca Falls Convention, New York state, 1848 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seneca_Falls_Convention – Ernest Belfort Bax, a British socialist journalist and philosopher, nailed many truths about feminism in “The Fraud of Feminism” (1913), free to download here https://j4mbdotorgdotuk.wordpress.com/2013/07/10/the-fraud-of-feminism-1913/. – every feminist narrative is one or more of the following – a baseless conspiracy theory (e.g. patriarchy), a fantasy, a lie, a delusion or a myth. – the mainstream media (the BBC being a particularly egregious example in the UK) almost never give a platform to Men’s Rights Advocates, or challenge feminists or feminist narratives, even when they’re demonstrably outright lies e.g. on domestic violence. But even allegedly right-leaning media (e.g. The Spectator, Telegraph, Mail…) have feminist contributors (e.g. Julie Bindel), and NO anti-feminist contributors. – a depressingly small proportion of men (and even fewer women) are willing to accept that the human rights of men and boys (as a class) are assaulted, almost always by the state’s inactions and inactions (see manifesto for details). We tried but failed to persuade men that all they had to do was tick the box for our political party at general elections, hence our decision to de-register the party after 10 years. We gave it our best shot, and continue doing what we can to raise public consciousness. – the complicity of politicians with feminists is scandalous. Philip Davies MP (C, Shipley) is virtually the only elected politician in the world willing to speak up about assaults on men’s rights, and he’s spoken at a number of our International Conferences on Men’s Issues (I’m hosting one in Budapest next August). He can only do this because he’s been clear since first elected (2005) that he has no ambition to be a minister one day. Any MP who speaks up on behalf of men and boys can be confident of never becoming a minister. I hope this helps – as I said, I could write a book on this!
