Our thanks to Chloe for this. An extract:
The president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) Luis Rubiales has defended kissing World Cup winner Jenni Hermoso on the mouth before Spain were presented with the trophy on Sunday as ‘an insignicant show of affection’ and called his critics ‘idiots’.
Good points, well made. Chloe writes:
A perfectly reasonable expression of affection and admiration for the woman who helped win the World Cup for Spain. Now let’s see what the hatchet-faced harpies have to say about it!!!

At the risk of “stereotyping” there is nothing very surprising about a Spaniard (or any “latin”) being demonstrative and expressing their feelings. It must be a nightmare in such countries if they follow the uptight “Anglo saxon” feminism where a mere touch on a knee is sexual harrassment. After all there’s a hell of a lot of men kissing men in such cultures and touching and showing emotion in those cultures. Isn’t men opening up and expressing their feelings a good thing, and Anglo Saxon “reserve” toxic masculinity?
