A generous donor has requested we post a link (video, 52:41) to the ICMI21 interview of Ann Widdecombe, who was murdered at her home about 10 weeks ago. From her Wikipedia page:

“The first hearing for Widdecombe’s suspected murder was held on 21 July at Westminster Magistrates’ Court. The prosecution, led by Kashif Malik, said that CCTV footage showed the suspect entering through Widdecombe’s front door on 8 July, wearing black gloves, and then entering the kitchen where she was eating lunch, hiding a hammer from her view. They said that the suspect asked, “Don’t suppose you have bank cards and ID?” before attacking her and stealing her wallet. The court further heard that Widdecombe died after being hit on the head with the hammer 21 times. The suspect was said to have been in Widdecombe’s home for around two minutes. The case was then sent to the Old Bailey, where the suspect also appeared on the afternoon of 21 July. He was remanded in custody at HMP Belmarsh, with further appearances at the Old Bailey including a case management hearing on 9 October, a preparation hearing on 20 November, and a provisional trial date of 8 June 2027.”
