  1. And something useful Morrisons becomes first UK supermarket to bring in toilet rule across all stores – Daily Star I thought this might be another “trans” thing. But its the eminently sensible move to supply a service already available to women to men too. As the piece points out Prostate cancer as well as infections and other illnesses can leave men with the need to use incontinence products. Good for Morrisons doing something useful.

  2. Having worked in female dominated industries over 40 years I can say that what actually happens is that women use HR policies and processes for petty disagreements and fall outs. It performs a sort of “parent” role whereby the whiner, sorry complainant, rather than address the problem directly engages the “policy” and “procedure” to pursue their problem, campaign, revenge for them. Really absolving them from any responsibility. Thus they get management and HR busily wasting time following through on something that doesn’t merit the time and effort. The result is some sort of compromise that effectively at least partly vindicates the complainant and partly punishes the accused, simply because eventually HR decides it needs to end and they’re far too invested in being liked to actually “judge”. In a way its the adult equivalent of the child screaming or crying in order or get Mum or Dad or teacher to tell off their sibling or other child. And we know which sex deploys that tactic often, because it works.
