Of course its not just war. Fire, floods, power cables down, blocked drains, car breakdown the list goes on of the unwritten and pretty much unseen work done to keep our luxurious lives on track. Even the war in the “straights” illustrates that often the fight is about resources that underpin our safe comfortable lives. The whining is all of a part and backed up by laws that show truly what we think of men. Just read and article about the lack of “paternity leave” in the UK, whatever the rhetoric about equality its clear the father isn’t expected to stop working and the recent change in the presumption of equal parenting in family law reinforces that fathers aren’t much more that a walking wallet to support mothers and “their” children. For all the feminist whining the web of law makes it pretty clear that men are expected to protect, provide and serve.
