  1. There’s an interesting female prerogative running in the background to all of this – opportunistic mating during her most fertile time of the month.

After the hormone levels stabilise, she may feel ‘guilty’ about her willing and enthusiastic engagement in sex, subsequently becoming a plaintiff, to protect her ego. The authorities aid and abet the proceedings by ‘loss’ of CCTV evidence that could protect the defendant, and the rendering of phone records as ‘inadmissible evidence’. Society seems to feel it their duty to keep true female nature hidden, at all costs. Of course, the situation is amplified in Scotland, because it’s Dorothy Bain KC and Lady Dorian who set the policy.

Perhaps women could take on board that men, too, suffer from ‘post-coital tristesse’. It tends to happen in late teens and early twenties, while you garner experience, en route to finding ‘the one’. What you sometimes encountered, on a dancefloor or in a pub, was a loved-up, super-fertile woman, perhaps off the domestic leash for a night, and out on the lash. Beer goggles may, or may not be involved. But, afterwards, you think “I can’t believe I just did that.”

But, we tend not to become complainants in courts of law. And, who would listen, anyway?

  2. So of course trials by Judges without juries would be fair then. If only a millionaire would bankroll at least some of the appeals that should be made by men convicted by Judges operating outside the law. Readers may recall that the Ministry of Justice, Criminal Bar Association and even the BBC estimated 25% of convictions for sexual crimes in the years before the scandal broke in 2018 were unsound due to the Police and CPS doing much the same as the Scottish judges. Making sure relevant evidence never gets into Court.

    • And in the following years the number of cases fell by …. You guessed it 25% A fall that feminists declared wrong and lobbied until the Scottish Gov. Tried to end jury trials there, apparently the Judges just went ahead anyway to get the required convictions. And the Westminster parliament hobbled the investigations by the Police by preventing them obtaining smart phones, on the pretext of “privacy” ( not for the defendant of course). And now Lammy wants to do away with Juries, supposedly to clear a backlog but I don’t believe the feminists in Labour haven’t been at him. The constant battle to get simple justice rather than “fit up” men to reach some target number of convictions is proof the “patriarchy” doesn’t exist. Men accused of sexual crimes aren’t “condoned” by the institutions of state. They face having their rights being chucked out by the Police, CPS and even Judges in pursuit of target figures of Convictions set by lobby groups.

Such cases are always represented as the poor “victim” versus the defendant. But the reality is the prosecution is by the full power of The Crown, the might of the Police and CPS set against some hapless bloke. The only protection he has is the good offices of the Judge to ensure a fair trial and a Jury who must be persuaded “beyond reasonable doubt”. An hopefully a principled Barrister. All the power is in the hands of The Crown not some 19 year old student.
