A piece just published by the BBC. Baroness Anne Longfield is a Labour peer but will resign the Labour whip to chair the grooming gangs inquiry.
In 2015 we publicly challenged Anne Longfield, then Children’s Commissioner for England on the issue of MGM. One of our blog posts here. She had zero interest in the matter, and we duly presented her with a Lying Feminist of the Month award, here.
We can confidently expect Longfield’s inquiry to ignore two groups identified in Baroness Casey’s report on the grooming gangs – the 22% of victims who were male, and the 24% of perpetrators who were female. Our blog piece on the Casey report, along with a link to the report, here.

Labour is beholden to the farmed Muslim vote. Jess Philips nearly lost her seat to one of the ,”independents” and of course 5 were actually voted in as MPs. In the real world there is no way Labour are ever going to allow a truly independent inquiry into a scandal that will expose the way Labour politicians were instrumental in the prolonged cover up on a local and national level. Nor will they want exposed the extent of this in Greater London and undermine the mayor.

As a Liberal ( of the Gladstone sort) it has long perplexed me why Conservative ministers appointed so many Labour supporters to such posts. Labour, once in power, never makes any such mistake, quickly ensuring their appointments are labour supporters. Are Conservatives perverse or naive ?

The outcome of many ‘inquiries’ has already been pre-determined.
In the case of grooming gangs, the question is this: “Do we want civil unrest on account of what we have uncovered?” Such an outcome favours neither right nor left.
If you want facts to be suppressed (for an anodyne ‘conclusion’) you choose someone from the political left to chair the inquiry. They will use the methodology of the politburo without a qualm of conscience, as they’ll believe that this “is for the greater good..”
