“The victim claimed that when police were called to the venue they took Williamson home instead of arresting her for assault and sexual assault. He said if she had been a man she would have been taken to the police station and locked in the cells.”
Here the victim nails the double standard. Being drunk the woman was treated by the Police as “vulnerable” because as we know women are rendered incapable by alcohol, unlike men who are always entirely responsible for their actions no matter how inebriated. The irony is that earlier the victim and his wife had offered help to Williamson because she was so drunk. In an example of “no good deed goes unpunished” she decides this chivalrous offer is a “come on” and assaults the victim and his wife.
