  1. Another sad tale which shows the negative effects of treating women differently. In this case the husband was the victim and unlike the situation if the victim had been a woman there was no immediate “go” order Mum killed her children hours after being allowed home by police – Manchester Evening News

“The inquest heard that if a domestic violence protection notice had been issued instead of the community resolution notice, Mrs John would have been prevented from returning to her home address for 48 hours.”

But of course she was “mum” so it was the victimised husband who had to go somewhere else, while she was let home. To kill both children hours later after having tried to stab her husband. This story is a more dramatic version of the story in my wider family where “mum’s” increasingly erratic and violent behaviour to her partner and their two children was treated as if it was his fault. Though no one died it took her to behave in such an extreme manner that eventually got something done. This was my “red pill” experience as it became obvious that ideology rather than the simple facts counted. Though the father ended up with custody of the children, his partner in prison for drugs offenses, and he worked hard to bring them up; his premature death due to bouts of depression and alcoholism I’m sure was a result of the years of seeking help and constantly labelled the abuser. Lets be honest “mum” is used to elicit sympathy, she must have been ill or driven to it. “Dad” and he’s an evil man to be shut away for ever.
